Your Local Holistic Sex Therapy Practice in Harrisburg, PA

Your relationship deserves more than another conversation about communication.

Specialized couples therapy, marriage counseling, and sex therapy in Harrisburg and Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

Relationships are complicated. Even relationships built on love, commitment, and genuine care can become places where we feel misunderstood, disconnected, frustrated, or alone.

Perhaps you keep having the same argument without understanding how you get there. Maybe affection has changed, sexual intimacy feels difficult, or differences in desire have become a source of tension. Perhaps you love your partner but aren't sure how to find your way back to one another.

These experiences deserve thoughtful attention and deep care.

At Rooted Healing Sanctuary Sex Therapy, we offer specialized relationship and sex therapy for individuals and couples who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that influence how they connect.

Our work goes beyond surface-level solutions. We pay attention to the relational, emotional, developmental, and sexual experiences that shape how intimacy shifts. Kristen additionally consider’s holistic approaches in her work.

You don't have to wait until your relationship is falling apart to seek support.

Sometimes one partner is more ready than the other. Sometimes you know you need support but aren't sure whether couples therapy, sex therapy, or individual therapy is the right starting point.

That's okay.

You don't need to arrive with the right words, a clear explanation, or a plan for what needs to change.

Our work begins with understanding your experiences, what has brought you here, and what you hope might become possible.

Sex therapy is about more than sex.

Sexuality is deeply connected to our sense of self, our relationships, our bodies, and our experiences of intimacy.

Sexual concerns can emerge in many different ways. Desire may change over the course of a relationship. Physical intimacy may become complicated by anxiety, pain, shame, past experiences, or difficulty communicating what feels good. Partners may experience significant differences in sexual interest or struggle to navigate changes in their sexual relationship.

Sometimes people know something isn't working but have difficulty putting words to what they are experiencing.

Sex therapy provides a specialized space to explore these concerns with clinical knowledge, curiosity, and without judgment.

At Rooted Healing Sanctuary, we understand that sexuality is not separate from the rest of our lives. Our work considers the many factors that shape sexual wellbeing, including:

  • Desire and arousal: Differences in sexual desire, changes in libido, responsive desire, and challenges with sexual interest.

  • Intimacy and connection: Navigating emotional and physical closeness, affection, vulnerability, and sexual connection.

  • Sexual communication: Learning to communicate preferences, boundaries, needs, curiosity, and desires.

  • Sexual shame and anxiety: Exploring the influence of cultural messages, religious experiences, expectations, and personal history.

  • Sexual pain and difficulty: Working with the emotional and relational dimensions of sexual concerns, alongside appropriate medical collaboration.

  • Sexual identity and expression: Exploring identity, orientation, pleasure, and the ways individuals and couples understand their sexuality.

Sex therapy is not prescribing a particular kind of sex life or telling couples how often they should be intimate.

It is about helping people develop a more informed, authentic, and connected relationship with their sexuality and therefore it translates into the relationship .

Our office space is conveniently located right off 581 in Camp Hill, Pa

Thoughtful relationship therapy, with experienced clinical guidance.

Meet Kristen, graduate clinical intern at Rooted Healing Sanctuary.

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable. Choosing someone to help you navigate your relationships, sexuality, and personal experiences is an important decision.

Kristen is a graduate clinical intern at Rooted Healing Sanctuary Sex Therapy who works with individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, attachment concerns, communication difficulties, and the experiences that shape how we connect with others.

Her work is supported by close clinical supervision and mentorship from Alexandria, founder and clinical director of Rooted Healing Sanctuary, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and 500+HR Yoga Teacher.

This means Kristen is developing her clinical practice within a specialty setting dedicated to relationship and sexual wellbeing. Her work is supported through ongoing clinical consultation, thoughtful case conceptualization, and guidance from an experienced clinician whose work centers on the complexities of relationships, intimacy, and sexuality.

We believe good therapy requires more than a caring person sitting across from you. It requires thoughtful clinical guidance, continued learning, accountability, and a willingness to look beneath the surface of what brings someone into therapy.

Kristen brings her own perspective, curiosity, and compassion to this work, while benefiting from the clinical mentorship and specialized experience within Rooted Healing Sanctuary.

Your relationship with sexuality deserves attention, too.

Perhaps sex has become something you avoid talking about. Maybe you and your partner experience desire differently, intimacy feels complicated, or you find yourself struggling to understand what you want, what feels good, or how to communicate your needs.

You may be navigating sexual shame, anxiety, changes in desire, difficulty with intimacy, or the lasting influence of past experiences.

Whatever brings you here, you deserve a space where these conversations can happen openly, thoughtfully, and without judgment.

Sexual wellbeing is an important part of our overall wellbeing and our relationships. You don't have to minimize your concerns, have everything figured out, or wait until things become more difficult to seek support.

At Rooted Healing Sanctuary, we believe that developing a more meaningful relationship with your sexuality is worthy of care, curiosity, and specialized attention.

You are welcome to begin that conversation here.
